More annoyed than worried.  I don't generally believe in smoke and mirrors as a course of business. 

However, this is a special situation.  The Mother Ship being foreign, there's a special need for smoke and mirrors when they arrive on site.

City permit is in.  Green light, once the bank falls in line.

The bank has ordered payment. 

Whatever that means for timing...

Setting up meeting Friday to start picking out stuff. 

Don't know if it'll be enough to satisfy my need of feeling like I accomplished something over the weekend.  Meanwhile my hands are tied in other avenues on the house while the bank waits...

Might just have to dig something out to build.

How did the smoke & mirrors go over yesterday?

I managed to not only stay behind the curtain but out of the whole room. 

They are sequestered over at a dog and pony show this afternoon. 

Nice thing about foreigners is lots of folks want to get in on the act.

The ringmaster did swiftly escort them away when we crossed paths earlier today. 

Wise man, the ringmaster.  Honeywell had to learn the hard way, I'm a very big believer in the show must go on.  I don't care how very VIP someone thinks they are. 

I know a lot of folks think our ringmaster is a hard fellow to get along with, as in, it usually shocks folks that he and I joke with each other when he doesn't with most anyone else.  That's not to say we've always seen eye to eye on situations, but we're both brutally blunt and honest, and he respects the fact I don't treat anyone different no matter their title. 

One of two fellows at that level of a company I respect enough to say if he ever needed me somewhere, I'd follow him if at all possible.  The other was at TASC, but for different reasons.
