...Were there more clowns and freaks than at work yesterday?...

Sure, but the audience left Thursday night.  Had a whole different show Friday.  It sucked.  Bad.

Then I had to go get reminded I'm part of "THE SYSTEM".

"Killer Hearse" sounds like a Stephen King novel.

Love the jumping spider! I can't find it either, these are the closest-

Oh, it's a Phidippus species jumper.  The way markings can vary on individual spiders, it might very well be impossible to identify from a pic.  That's why spiders suck so bad, a lot of times you need extreme magnification to identify.

After getting a good look at a male, I'm fairly confident in saying what I have is a breeding population of Apache Jumping Spiders.

The black and white stripes on the female are a known color morph.

They must have been attracted either last year or this as I started sunflowers as a regular addition to the garden, as they are a preferred habitat.  Finding them on the milkweed is just logical for them at this point with the milkweed blooming, but not the sunflowers yet.  (I was under the impression they might be milkweed specialists as all insect that specialize in milkweed are orange, black, and white.)

If I can get one to hold still, the fang/mouth/mandible/whatever spiders call em should be irridescent.

Unknown whether the spiders would pose a threat to potential monarch caterpillars.

Interesting. Well, apparently jumping spiders can kill and eat Monarch caterpillars.

But they would also kill and eat other predators, and might decoy wasps away from Monarch caterpillars.

Net effect unknown.

End around on the spider?

Edit, fixing....

There's evidence one may have hatched earlier.  Very few other things would be eating milkweed leaves.

Bring the eggs in and the spider never gets a chance.

I originally had the wrong pic up.

Booted up Dominions, mostly because it's still bugging me I can't find the name for the things I want to make, and I knew Dominions at least had spells to make them.

They have the wrong name listed, like a lot of places on the web.  Oh well.

I did find they patched in a Nazca Civilization though.  Curious implimentation, they amalgamate Nazca, Inca, and Chachapoyan cultures distilled with some existing in-game stuff to make their nation.  Might play around with it a bit.

HIGHLY doubt it.

To my knowledge he's only been in Repo! The Genetic Opera and The Devil's Carnival 1.

He's written all three.
