Well, guess I have the sign out, but they got the martha stewart porch/door thing covered.  (I rarely put much more out until right before, and when I do it's in jest.) 

Bonus points, it's in the HOA, blatant violation of the accepted dates.

Home owners association.  Thow shalt have 1" tall grass and do as we say.  The uniform Christmas decor is kinda creepy at times.  Think they're going a little more lax lately.  Or maybe just given up with me on the border. 


Me?  No Mayans this year.  And Tali want's to do Vlaad the impaler next year (or at least that's how I interpretted her ramblings), and I might be able to make that happen...if I don't decide it's too graphic.

I need pretty high contrast for the webs.  Some of the halloween ones look nice, but they're too close to places I visit, kinda like this place to stand out.

So,

Last night, the school's "Family fun fair" this being the big PTA fundraiser.  You know, bounce houses, face painting, etc. 

Well, not face painting...as the person doing that was SLLLOOOOOWWWW. 

Anyhow, you would think leaving a box of sidewalk chalk out for the kids to color on would be a great idea, right.  Nice innocent elementary kids...it was the source of my best experience, and my worst, of the evening.

Early on, some kids had drawn some pumpkins.  NOT my kids, mind you!  That made me smile quite a bit...

Later in the evening, with handwriting indicating someone older, there were anti gay slurs along with website addresses... 

For the first time in my life, I defaced someone else's work...
