TLDR found to be Levantine which would support a range of complexion. 

Or, you know the actual tomb carvings/paintings that have varied complexions within the same tomb such as the tomb off Nakht and Tawny among others.

I mean, ancient Egypt was a lot of people for a very long time, and it would be outrageous to assume there wasn't plenty of variation, especially with that top corner of Africa being a natural crossroads.  (-But surviving pigment in art still being incredibly old and maybe not real reliable for reasons already mentioned and extreme oldness.)  This I believed from the get-go.

-And that a medium to light brown complexion for RamII was the best guess...  Do I need to burn a couple hours again cutting out the skin parts of the original to depict my best guess?  It's not real different than the intermediate alter, just somewhat lighter w/ original lips.

I agree a middle of the road coloration would have been the wisest course of action, but there are plenty of potential sources and motivations for what they chose.  Thus I don't know that I would come out and call it inherently wrong.

Blue eyes, especially, seems hard to justify - I'm completely unaware of the merest HINT of Rams having any northern blood in him...
