UV Protection Options for the Summer

While many Americans purchase hats, sunglasses, and sunscreen for UV protection in summers, a less well known option for sun protection appears in the shemagh. Shemaghs originated from the Middle East and consisted of a large square cloth covering for the head and face. I recently purchased a shemagh because hats and sunglasses rarely protected against the reflective glares from surfaces and consistent application of the oil in sunscreen irritated my skin. Shemaghs combined with a hat and sunglasses guarantee some sun protection against reflected UV rays without sunscreen and protection against aerial debris.
