Momma got her first shot yesterday.

She's sick today, in bed.  I just found out, having gotten a late start and only now made my second coffee.  It's pretty bad, that she's not up and grumbling endlessly, but, y'know, probably a bad reaction that'll be gone tomorrow, and I just have to step up on some household stuff and stay frosty.

Made Momma a cup of cider and checked up - she's hardly on her deathbed.  Took her a headache pill and made sure she felt she could take care of peeing and stuff on her own if I stayed away, and left her to it.

I did forget to convey your love, Geo - this time.  No worries that I will.

Also?  My namesake uncle, Mom's older brother who only had flu pages back, and his wife also got their shots yesterday.  No word so far if anyone's sick.

-And it just hit me that the phone might ring, so I took in the wireless handset w/ caller ID screen, that she may see who it is before she doesn't answer.  While she was awake, Geo, I gave her your love, and she seemed as pleased as she capable of today.  Her face lit up just a tiny bit.

She got up for supper and seems for sure on the mend.

We had weird snow here briefly this afternoon, at 43 F.

It just hit me, with what you mentioned about Saxon-Coburg the other day.
Even your street name has a royal ring to it.

Oh yes.  Grampa's personal name was the family name of the royal Stuarts, of Scotland/England.

We had an ancestor through him who James I picked up in northern England on his slow and careful way south to assume the English throne.  We are also related through him to Francis Bacon, and a bit earlier, Roger Bacon.
