An earthquake went off from a supply pod, raising one of the Boreholes.  I find it interesting that it changes to the artwork of a player made borehole.  Various other landmarks, like bits of the Monsoon Jungle, simply get destroyed when raised in altitude.

I think this implies that if you want boreholes on non-level surfaces, you can have that.  So long as you start making a borehole on flat ground and then start raising the land.

I also wonder if you can pack boreholes right next to each other, if you start them side by side and none are finished?  That trick definitely works for drilling aquifers.
