Password protected MP turn sent without the protection

I continue via email one of the games started here (Average World with Geo) and the most curious thing just happened. He sent me a turn to play which in reality was his turn (I'm waiting for his confirmation if he hit 'end' or 'save' because accidental savings happen), but the worst part is, it came without password protection, like single player turns. So of course it immediately opened and showed me his game... A question to you multiplayer players and/or hackers - has it ever happened to you or do you know what causes it? Sometimes you save with a wrong name or something, but never, ever in my life the password protection disappeared. What could possibly happen?
