Hello everybody I am new to this forum. I found it searching for sites related to smac. I want to say hello to everybody, and commend the fellow who started the site.I am glad to be part of a community of people who play, and have played Alpha Centauri. The reason why is I believe you have to have a certain level of intelligence, and imagination to understand , and to certainly appreciate the game.

I can say the game has actually helped me understand, and appreciate the power of knowledge, science, innovation, research, productivity, energy, diplomacy, preparedness as it relates to power, and success. Which I believe is/was one of Sid Meier's goals.

We need a new Alpha Centauri game. One that keeps the main features, characters of the original but adds new ones. One that adds new technologies, better A.I., customization, and so on. I just want to see who would like to a whole new sequel come out. How can we do this, who is willing to help. I will be back on here from time to time to see how you guys are doing.I commend the founder, and the people of this awesome website. Lets get the ball rolling on AC2

Creating a mod might be a good first step, then. You'll have noticed that we have a modders' forum - I can teach you a great deal about the art and the creative end...

I appreciate that bro , I have a limited amount of time but would love t learn. It is awesome you are willing to teach me. Anyone who is willing to take thwir time and teach is a solid dude. I will come on here when I can, I have a full time job, business, and all kinds of other stuff. But I would like to learn , when are you usually on here?

All the time - I'm a caregiver and don't get out much. Most active in the mornings, EST, but if I'm not AFK, any time up to around now, most days. Afternoons around 6 would tend to catch me on and bored...
