Oi.

The corporate handlers dealt with, Dorothy freed, and I have the slippers.

Been a busy morning.

The boss took me up to find the skeleton she had previously located.

Someone had procured the skull in the interim, but the rest of the skeleton lay intact.  I can't be 100% but fairly sure it was a moose, possibly elk.

Either case would have made the skull collection illegal, but would have helped me identify easier.

Have the spine and about half the ribcage now, the rest of the ribs were still in the soup that was left of the body.  While the smell wasn't completely appalling, there wasn't a need to soil the car with it.

That was as we started painting the skull magnets last night.

Her seamlessly transitioning from "I like the hot pink better, let's do more of those" to "That's not the right red, we need to make it look like it's covered in BLOOOOD!" is also rather funny.

The Earth O Skull is not a bad idea, but beyond me, and I'm betting it's been done.

Why does the skull not have a nasal spine? Why are the eye sockets such a weird shape? The image does not accurately reflect a real skull.

The eye sockets are fine (as in within normal parameters), actually, it's the lack of cheek bone definition the coloring did that makes it look weird.

I'm guessing they used a lindberg kit as the model to draw off.

Minor point of interest to no one but me:  MOST realistic skulls you see are of Asian origin due legal issues making it easier to procure actual skulls in Asia.

90% of Uno's skulls are 3rd generation copies of a 21 year old Chinese female.

The Lindberg kit is a sculpt based off a caucasian original that can be nit-picked as to accuracy but is fairly decent.  I have one, but dislike the seam.  Saving in case I ever make a robotic skull.

My newest skull is of a Caucasian male, 1st generation copy, of which I make 2nd generation copies.

Not surprising in retrospect but an interesting factoid.

Roughly 50% done with the skull magnets, but considering making even MORE, because really, who WOULDN'T want a fluorescing skull magnet?  (not that I expect anyone to even have a blacklight to see the fluorescing)

One bonus to Talia's version of the skulls is they are a lot easier to mass produce than the more realistic ones were.

Satisfying to work out Talia's version of things, then?  She has no idea how lucky she is with a dad who can make anything...
