As a villain/character actor, yes, Lee is hard to beat.  Price is much better suited to play a lead under the right circumstances, though, with a much greater vocal and facial expression range.  The brief turnabout of the wizard to curious traveler and even good guy would have played better into Price's range.  But, I'd take better front sided menace from Lee in this case.
