Gotta power through today...and at least part of tomorrow.   

Now starting to get a little anxious.  Shouldn't be, I've got everything very well under control, but ready to get it done now. 

The biggest concern is the bridge redesign.  Everything else is fairly simple.  I know there's going to be bugs on the redesign though.  Just need to treat it as a test for a possible entire rebuild next year. 

Mother's in place, Father as well.  I need to time my setup of The Field and the Corn Tunnel to where I can medicate myself into oblivion after.  There's a potential for wind on the 29th, which is when our annual storm is settling on.  29th, morning of the 30th.  Which works well for everything else considered.  Worst case, the kids are home Friday, we can recover from wind.

Site troubles?

Bridge redesign went together MUCH better than anticipated.  Yes, there were some bugs, but only 2/8 had them, and they were anticipated and readily adjusted for.  It's not quite as dominant a piece in the yard, which has both advantages and disadvantages from a design angle, but it's much less prone to people being idiotic as well. 

So, bridge is at 80%, still need to do the annual repairs and the enter/exit ramps.

Maybe the contest wasn't such a great idea...

So, Alec and I are building the bridge, and a REALLY FANCY convertable drives by.  Like, has no business in this neighborhood fancy. 

It turns around and comes BACK and stops at the driveway.  Out comes a member of the City Council to talk to me.  Crap. 

This is all kinds of can of worms for a home haunt.  Get on the city council's bad side, and you're not gonna last long. 

Can she put up a sign?  No.  I don't sully my Halloween with ANY of the political detritus, even when it's something I've felt strong on. 

Conversation naturally goes into what we do, the party, etc, how many people...This is real dicey territory for me.  While I believe she's just considering making an appearance at the party to look "in touch" with potential voters, we're very borderline on needing to register as an event on the party just due to numbers.  Halloween night, we're still in the law as trick or treat is not "serving food", but they asked another house to shut down based on traffic, and that's not a fight you're going to win.

Our server was down for about 13 hours.  Seemed to be a problem at the host.  That's all I know.

Not entirely sure on the makeup.  Plan to glue on some moss around the headdress to hide that seam a bit, but that was too involved tonight.  mostly worried about the eyes.
