Random crap with Uno.

Need to get the yard fertilized and heavily watered as this is our last weekend of water. 

Have a lot to do to get ready, but at the same time not much I can really do yet.  Probably start on bridge repair next week in an effort to minimize the setup at the end of the month. 

Overall, this plan of trying to be mostly done by September is nice, but a little foreign still.  A lot less panicked about not being completely busy this year.  Rethinking my plans for shaving the head:  It could make day of more busy than it needs to be.  I'd rather focus on Talia's makeup than trying to do my own as well. 

That means I need to try out the other thing somehow else...

Might just randomly try it one night.  But it was only one part of what I wanted to do.

Was Thursday morning, or Friday, I made complaining mention of it being rather oppressively overcast?  It started drizzling Thursday afternoon, and has kept up since.  We were way behind on rain for the month, going into the last week of it, but that was four inches of persistent intermittent drizzle ago.

Probably going to stop tomorrow.  I miss sunlight.

I remember the last time I was outside to watch a lunar eclipse, I just don't remember if I was awake/paying attention to see it.

I did light up father, break out one of the new speakers, and give the soundtrack for the year a whirl in honor of another end of the world in my lifetime. 

The soundtrack got all immediate neighbors out their door to find the source of the sound, as it is indeed rather otherworldly.  And one "what the hell IS that?" somewhere close enough for me to hear, but don't know where from. 

It is quite possibly one of the more disturbing soundtracks (I'm actually just using a complete album this year) I've EVER decided to use.  One that was banned from my house as a teen, finally re-released on itunes...

I shouldn't complain - I've seen a few before, they're not that impressive - and I did manage to track down the latest Dr Who after I'd about given up, and enjoyed it.

This one seems a deeper red than others I've seen, but that could be due to the crap in the air locally.

The Seventh Son

Movie very loosely based on The Wardstone Chronicles books. 

Mindless action movie.  If you can get over the fact the movie bears no resemblence to the source material.

Horror movie.  In a very 1930's-40's styled Horror sense. 

See, golden age horror movies were often as much about the horror that the lead playing the monster is going through more as the horror the victims are going through.  They gave you reason to empathize with the monsters.

Maggie brings this old school treatment to the Zombie genre with our lead having been infected, and slowly turning into a zombie. 

One of the better horror movies in recent years in my opinion, and easily the best zombie movie in quite some time.  Highly recommended. 

Bonus, Arnold Schwarzenegger actually can act!
