K 30 for $550.  That's getting closer...

(The K 30 is, essentially, a rebranded K5 from when Ricoh took over.  There's some 'features' that were trimmed and others added, to my use, they are essentially the same)

NEW K5's online have dropped to $550 on clearance sales!  YES...buy the new shiny everyone!!! I want the old shiny.  Ironically a lot of places still have them at $1100, and used ones are all over the board. 

Used K30 best price is $450 so far.  New can be found for $500, no reason to buy a used one.

The puking pumpkin is a little played, but that's a pretty well done one. 


2.5 days...man are they going to drag. 

Started working on my mask a while ago, but wasn't really into it, just going to go forward anyway.  See, it's a throwback to 2007, which was the best of the olde masks, but redesigning really didn't excite me much.  Looking back, though, the new one is infinitely better, in no small part due to working with much better materials (and the fact I have the head to sculpt on now, instead of sculpting ON my head). 



The shell wont come off, so we're going to have to bake it to melt the clay out.  Nice to have that option.  Was real close to making this a latex prosthetic instead of a mask, but choosing the simpler option as both boys are mostly makeup-based, no need to make even more work for me on Halloween.
