Planted corn...getting pumpkins.  (at least 90% sure these are pumpkins)



I'm of a split mind here.  We had tried to dispose of all the seed last year, and my Uncle is planting "normal" pumpkins this year, my patch is for "specialty" ones.  I have 100+ seeds of various varieties ready to plant (and hadn't planned to for a couple weeks yet).  But, just given the odds, these are most likely just regular pumpkins, not the few luminas or Cinderellas we grew last year. 

At the same time...why look a gift horse in the mouth?

That's definitely not corn, and does look like some sort of vine gourd like pumpkin.  Any chance it's cucumber?

Not without something tracking the seed in.  I only question as we've had tons of wind, and there's a flower that starts out looking similar which we've attempted to plant symbiotically with the pumpkins to limited success.  I'll know for sure once the second leaves hit/these get their shape. 

It's also QUITE early for pumpkins.  The ground SHOULD be too cold for them to germinate.

Then we'd be getting all kinds of complaints about spirit halloween's banner ads which feature similar outfits on a regular basis. 


"Problem" is, that's a guy who is...exploring. 

Not an issue I expected from that particular group of people, honestly.  I was the first staff member awake this morning, so the first to deal with it, and having a few friends physically beaten for exploring, I'm a little touchy on the subject even if I don't feel any urge to explore. 

Been smacking disparaging remarks all day with a banning and a number of warnings (put a delay on the thread to give me a chance to view before they posted publicly...sneaky, I know, but allows us to do it surreptitiously to the guy in question).  Fortunately, it's the vocal minority causing a problem and it's the offseason.  We "only" have a few hundred registered people on at a time right now. 

Debate on the mod forum is more how to handle the troublemakers at the moment.  As far as we're concerned there's nothing there that doesn't fit with our 'PG13' standards.
