I assume the bad day is something separate from the Barghest, which looks great. I love how with all your Halloween designs, you go with something organic and old in look, not modern slasher-y obvious stuff.

Kinda related. Everything is breaking on me today. I had lent the power painter to my dad for his fence last year. He didn't clean it when he was done, it was all frozen, spend a better part of the day fixing that. But, it works. again. mostly. Lost an attachment for good.

And that's not the only thing I've been repairing today. Base coat only, gotta test it to see where we're at in the dark.

I think a lot of that is just the theme I'm going with in the yard. I always try to step back to Samhain a bit. I get enough of the other designs in consulting gigs.

As with all Chimera, The Barghest's specialty is wicked shadowplay.

So, the original plan was to come back and do some dry brushing with white and/or grey to highlight some of the features. I'm wondering if I really want to do that for a creature meant to be made of mist and shadow, though.

It didn't picture well with the string camera, but you could see the spines on the back being underlit.

The only way for me to decide is to do a more thurough test tonight. Go pull out the torches, turn on the fog, do a full on situation test with the good camera.
