Still snowing. 

Was hoping for a break.  Weather service just issued a new warning 2 more feet of snow expected tonight.  Which probably means a fair bit more at my place, being up the hill a ways.  The base is having a snow day, which is insane, so no, no real work going on.  Almost time to start making the slow trip home.

I've driven in worse.  This car just plain sucks in snow though.  This is my 3rd Tercel, and the first one to handle poorly in snow.  It's a question of one particular hill, really, and I can park in the hotel at the bottom and hike up that last stretch to home if I have to.

'twas quite the little hike in 4' of snow.  Maybe I need to invest in some snowshoes.

Just had to ditch the car.  There were enough off the road attempting the hill to know I stood no chance.  I didn't hike up the road either, but up the foot path, which was...interesting...given the weather.  It's quite hidden even without snow.

I hate snow. But, where I am at it has been raining nonstop for days and I am getting stir crazy.

I really wanted to get on a brand new cruiser bike I have aquired.

There's been several days of non-stop rain in North Texas, too.  And almost cold enough to be winter, sorta.  Clear and 71 was nice today.

At least I ought to be able to nag Star Trek art out of her better this way.  The sarcifices I make to keep this forum entertaining, let me tell you...

I thought Signs was distant and unengaging.  I had so much trouble buying into the reality of the story that - I can't can't even come up with a metaphor/joke about it.

The Sixth Sense, on the other hand, sucked me in completely.  Completely.  I cried in the parking lot afterward.

"Sixth Sense" was one of those films which is even better the second time you're wiewing it because you're in on the joke so to speak and can watch it with a new set of eyes, "The Usual Suspects" was one of those films also. As for M Night Shyamalan so has he continued to push out crap film after crap film since his epic first film. "Unbreakable" was ok "Signs" was kinda awful with a crappy  sentimental script and an overacting Mel Gibson. And don't even get me started on "The Village", OMG...  How can he still get funding for the crap he's putting out?

The Usual Suspects got over with me, too.  I sensed there was a twist coming, but rather expected Chazz Palminteri to turn out to be Keyser Söze.  It's another one that really sucked me in.
