I used to think plaster was nasty to work with untill I cast some things in resin.  I even had mostly good results, but evil stuff.

It don't like latex much, that's for sure.  Definitely want to spring for a silicone mold if you're doing resing.

Latex takes a lot of getting used to working with too, now that you mention it.  I probably would have gotten used to resin by now if I was richer than Warren Buffet and could afford the stuff.  When it works, the clear castings are wonderful.  But good lord, the stuff is SO stinky and toxic and tacky to mess with...

You gotta remember that I'm a practicing miser, so investing much money in my hobbies isn't gonna happen.

My former hobby was collecting insects.  Clear resin was a fabulous way to preserve them...

hEt did not care for the bugs.  AT ALL.  They're in a University display now and I have more time for Halloween.

I was trying Glow and Shadows, not Marquee.  No luck finding any spoilered posts in a quick search.  One of the AARs in ToE had the screenies spoilered, but I'm not finding it, or the tags aren't showing, even though they don't work.

And no, they look completely normal in IE.  I just had a look with Chrome, and there I see a color effect on both that looks exactly the same and isn't very impressive.

As did glow, but I'm using quick respond and there's no button here and I can't remember the exact format so this might not work.

So, Trevor, despite being a piece of art, was also functional in hiding my new massive fog machine, and providing a chiller. 

A fairly inefficient chiller design, yes, but it worked. 

I need something new to hide that still, and if I'm going to build a chiller, why not model the most effecient ones?

So, how does a vortex work? 

Well, the first ones on the market followed this design and were quickly laughed at for their $500+ price tag, so this was the common home built plan.

Obviously Froggy's has a new design, though it has a contained fog machine in it as well, which accounts for some of the width. 

Needless, a 5 gallon bucket is not going to suit my new machine. 

So breaking it down, what is the keys to a vortex chiller? 

Immediate contact with ice.

Fog forced DOWN through the ice to the exit as it cools. 

Expansion chamber UNDER the ice. 

And, most importantly, how am I hiding this in plain sight this year?

And a bucket's too big? 

Could you do something with paint cans?  You certainly go through enough to use them lavishly, and you could hammer and alter the shape somewhat.
