2017-2018 prop makers rushing to fill demand.

Surprised no one's mass marketed the fence yet.  It's my most pinterested item. 

That guy in the background's a ripoff of my friends' prop in Idaho as well.

Unsorted the first line, not so much luck with the second...  You could make spider people the next big thing, though hEt's against them, probably a creep button pushed too hard.  -Also the by people, whatever that is, next big thing to get ripped off widely and brazenly.

Me too, Ma'am.  It's genuinely flattering, it is, but it's still just straight-up stealing hard, hard work.

I wish there was a good answer for the prevention of future cases of the above, but not really.  That and some way to legally get them to admit and credit you for your ideas (it's still intellectual property issues), but they would likely try to turn it back around against you.

That there Unorthodox Halloween watermark stamp is no solution, but it sure don't hurt to apply liberally...

Like, yo - it almost legally counts as a copyright notice, at least on the photo, ideas being harder to protect, though we are talking actionable infringement of specific designs...




Should I dig up all the watermark stamp files I made and add the curly c on one end and repost?

Bat people was the second line. Stupid phone.  The only other thing hEt ever put her foot down and said no to. 

We have a shared trauma around that concept.  My natural instinct is to remake it.  Hers is the more rational avoidance.

About the Father copy, specifically, to be honest mine was derivative of two previous pieces. If I did add my signature open chest and lighting focus.

It's the old I'm lazy and suck thing. 

Photos I take with Vera automagically get a water mark in processing.  Photos I take with my phone, I automagically upload to my website storage now.  It's too big a pain to pull them off my phone, into the shop, save, upload.

What I need to do, now that I'm hosting my own photos, is find a plugin deal that will automagically stamp everything.

Back to Pithenge (really needs a better name).

We went looking for our flagstone today, as there were issues with our first choice. 

We'd originally chosen the second from the left here.  That's moss and lichens on the stone, and we liked the idea of that randomness to the whole area. 



However, looking at it in bulk, it was problematic, more boulders than flagstone, and much too red sandstone to fit with the house. 

So, looking around the stone yard, both hEt and I immediately gravitated to these blocks.  They aren't flagstone by any stretch, but the place will custom cut them to that thickness for us free.  The dark grey contrasting our standing stone well. 



The kicker is those lighter surfaces you see on some of them.  I don't know how well it's visible on this phone pic, but thats fossilized shells, fairly common around lake Bonneville shorelines, geeky enough we love it all the more.

And yes, I'm well aware that by making the permanent pathway out of fossilized remains, the bridge of death has literally become a path of death.
