So, gave up on the costume for Saturday. 

Not for worry of finishing, really, but hEt's not going to be able to go, and I don't need to be distracted or limiting my peripheral vision at all when I have Talia to watch in a crowd.  I'm a firm believer in situational awareness.

I hate to think of you not doing something colorful just to be wise...  You're going to think of something cool but far more modest and practical, I bet...

Probably won't dress, actually.  Like last year. 

Talia is debating between a practice run on the doll makeup and another day of the dead design for her. 

Either way, my facepaint/makeup toolbag is lightyears ahead of where it was last year, so should be fun and good practice for me.

Got the netting mostly sewed onto my shirt, and did a quick test.  Thinking this 'ghillie' styled setup is going to work.  Just debating whether I need to go after that other color...

Talia's a little nervous about the wax needed for the painted doll.  Might just do a practice prior to Saturday to let her see how it works.
