Had someone trapped this morning and I'm one of the first ones here.

Officially made the plunge this weekend.  Roughly half this year's regular Halloween Budget is going towards a storage shed.  This lets me move most of my Halloween items out of the house for the remodel and/or moving/  Only going to keep what things I might actually need if I decide to build something. 

In the process of moving, I'll clear out anything that has outlived it's usefulness.  Got through most the garage, will be starting in on other areas soon. 

Need to start adding "lighting and stuff" to the drawings.  Have to be able to sit with hEt first, but she's been working since we got the last set in, really.

I don't see how you can make a henge double as a shed, but the tomb idea has a lot of promise...

Henge would make a great firepit area.  (stone benches around the firepit, surrounded by the standing stones.)

I dunno, man; you're losing some backyard already in the remodeling - you can't keep the mower and garden tools in a campfire henge; double (or more) purpose would be a good idea, wouldn't it?

We're not talking about a lot more back yard than I'd expect in the 'burbs, are we?

There is a company locally that specializes in those things though. 

We will be getting a built in gase fire pit in the patio with a gazebo over it, though.

That looks to be a good gazebo.  I'm sure there's potential for redressing for a certain fall holiday...

A gazebo was originally a part of our holiday, it's death took out those stella in 2010. 

So, Talia has a "Wax Museum" tomorrow.  (Long time followers may remember Alec-zander) 

They had to choose someone from history to do a report on, dress up, and memorize a speech.  In that speech, you had to include an actual quote from the person (or at least on attributed to them). 

The list of suggestions was practically worthless.  Talia wanted to be someone that kicked but a little, and you can't have a whole class of Joan of Arks. 

Her first choice: Mulan.  Couldn't find enough evidence of the real one to do the report right, not to mention likelihood of multiple clones with the Chinese class. 

So, we focused on who I knew we could get info on. 

After spitballing a bunch of options, it boiled down to Elizabeth Bathory or Boudicca. 

As much as I would have supported her going for sheer shock value, I was a little relieved she chose Boudicca. 

I think it was the quote that swung her, as her speech now conclude with the quote spoken with attitude:  "Let the MEN live as slaves if they want, I will not!" 

I have some fabric, we're going to pin up as a "dress".  (The roman histories said she wore a many colored dress, and this fabric actually looks different depending on how the light hits it, the flash kinda ruined that effect)



Blue woad paint is easy enough. 

Anyhow, she tells me last night, at bed time. 

"Oh yeah, we're allowed to bring props now!  You know, weapons.  There's probably not time now, but I'll look really silly in my pose if I don't have something to hold..."
