A while back I sent my daughter an old photo of myself, and I forgot I uploaded it. Mind, she's a film artist/ photographer and this is not the original quality of the photo, she managed to enhance it quite a bit.



Mind: This photo is relatively old. I am much more aged then this photo, this was taken back at least a few decades.

I've been told I look like him before (Tom Sellick)... looking at some things, kind of shocking actually.

Edit: And kind of hilarious to boot, I look like someone who played a Nazi 


Also, on account of the hair it is indeed looking better. Though, the eyepatch isn't that shape and its also more brown to boot. It's more of just a thick leather band then an actual eyepatch.

That looks a lot better... just make it more brown if possible and modify it, mainly in making it more flat and without the ripples.

If that can be done, it'd be perfect.

I think that's got it if you can make the strap flat and dark brown like a belt...

He's not ALWAYS grim looking. Just 90% of the time.

Here's another try at an eyepatch and some potential costumes.  The picture shows him wearing a blue striped shirt under his jacket... I didn't know if you wanted that.  The fit of the coat is not good and it will need a new texture.

Make the pants a dark brown, same style if possible. As for that eyepatch... it doesn't seem to really cover the actual eye well, looks odd. If it were possible... maybe even merge that one and the other two together and make them brown.


(I don't know a thing about Poser mind... maybe a link to it so I can research it?)

Other then that... I am liking it so far.

The coat is bulky, and too light of colour, a darker form of brown or even a green like his shirt would be what would be optimal. Plus the three striped Sergeant insignia is a bit out of place/unfitting. The shirt is cool looking and very similar to what he could wear. Though, He'd have the sleeves rolled up to his elbows for the most part.

Oh, I'd guess he rose through the ranks even if he was ever an officer before Planet.  -Part of his great affinity for the common touch; he was never privileged, but pulled himself up by his bootstraps - thus, the stripes could sort of fit.

Why not just let her put a standard eye patch on him?  The strap is obviously something improvised in the field in the original picture.  Poser is terrible at things like that, so it's a lot of work, otherwise...

I suppose... though it's also part of his look.

If that eyepatch is too difficult to obtain/create, I'd settle for a regular one. Just it has to be black, or brown is all.

But if possible, the band is optimal. I really appreciate you doing this; I really do. Just trying to hone his image down is all.

Edit: And note; He was a was a civilian janitor head beforehand, and he doesn't refer himself as a rank, merely Comrade. Otherwise he'd be elevating his position above others and he does not want that.

If this is giving you stress Mylochka let me know, I do not intend that. Just giving feedback as to improve the image.

No stress. Don't worry.It usually takes time to get a character model just right, but once we have it, it will be right for as many pictures as you want.

Still working on the eyepatch. It's difficult to get it to fit nicely to the face like the patch in the picture does... But I've still got a few more ideas I can try.

I also shortened the sleeves and tried a different fabric with more texture.  Do you like this better than the previous version.

That's pretty cool... How much does it cost normally? I wouldn't mind toying with something like that.

Also, on account of the shirt:

All you need to do is see if you can fold the ends of the shirt up on the elbow, make it look like it has a folded appearance. Then it's spot on.

I liked the older texture/colour better, the texture/green for it was relatively fine.

If you could get that trench coat in a similar green or a brown that'd be pretty cool, though the shirt works good too.

As for the new pants... the green pants are basically perfect. They fit very well in terms of colour, I am happy with that.



On another note: Make Vazheli a bit more stocky/wider shouldered, and a tad more buff. He's a grizzled leader accustomed to war, and he's the type of leader who will fight assassins himself, blade and pistol in hand, not just completely relying on security. He can handle himself in a fight.

Essentially, he should be pretty close to my physique. Bit of muscle and such here and there... hard to explain, but I do have photo provided.
