Home is where the (h)eart(h) is...

Damn it! ;heartbreak

Anyway, back from the Antarctic Peninsula. Some scenery in attachment.
We had a balmy 32-33 °F throughout the week we were there. Cold feel can be quite different depending on the cloud cover and/or wind.
Lucky in respect to how fast the cruiseship could sail towards the peninsula (Drake Lake while crossing the Drake Passage), but quite the heavy storm front a week later caused our captain to depart 1-2 days earlier. Perhaps as well, since a couple ships reported 10-12 m waves during their crossing the two days after we arrived to Ushuaia.

If I'm not mistaken, that's a fur seal. But I took a bit too close a picture of it. He seemed to become territorial at that moment.
Leopard -and sealions can size between 2-3 m.

My gift to industry is the genetically engineered worker, or Genejack. Specially designed for labor, the Genejack's muscles and nerves are ideal for his task, and the cerebral cortex has been atrophied so that he can desire nothing except to perform his duties. Tyranny, you say? How can you tyrannize someone who cannot feel pain?
