Yeah, I noticed that too. It sorta seemed that way at the time, but I rarely remembered the gags from one week to the next.

So, belly's been acting up this week. 

We had a couple days of bad eating in part due to celebrating Mother's Day, but it's been getting steadily worse from there. 

Got reading up, known side effect of the allergy meds I take is increased gallbladder problems. 

So...I can breath or I can eat, but I can't do both... 

I don't know if we have any of the alternate allergy meds.

So, been doing digging.

As far back as 2012, I have been keeping an eye on the pentax K-30. 

It remains the absolute top of the line low light camera.  It also contains most of the modifications my K-10 has to work with the manual lenses, and a few tech features I presently lack.  Plus simultaneously would allow me to upgrade to automagic D lenses. 

Downside is it wouldn't have wifi and still would require the photoshop processing I currently have to do where the newer ones wouldn't. 

Presently priced around $200.   Definitely on the birthday/christmas possibility list. 

So been digging more because I over-analyze these things.  The reason the K-30's are dropping like a rock is they've discovered a flaw in them.  The autofocus mechanism becomes magnetized over time rendering it inoperable.  So...while a K-30 is still on the list as the best low light camera ever built, and my manual lenses would render the flaw inconsequential, it's useless to me as a gateway to automagic stuff for vacations. 

Furthermore, this flaw extends to a whole line, eliminating the K-50, K-S1 and K-S2 options as well.  That last one is particularly painful.

SO...

That brings my options to the K-5, K-5 II, K-5 IIs, K-3, and pie in the sky K-3 II.  Technically the KP is an option, but I'm not interested.

K-3 II ~700

Uno-wise Low light quality goes down the further down you go on this list.  The K-5 is about even with Vera though.  The K-3, most notably would add wifi ability. 

So, $200 for a K30 upgrade to Vera, or $300 for something the kids can use.
