Dang, much bigger fire than I though y ou were going for.  I was expecting 4-6 inches, max. 

Looks nice.  Just a thunk, add in some ground fireplace glass to the fire pit to get sparkles & reflections.  Not sure how good it would look, to be honest, but I do know you can buy it in bulk on Amazon cheap in many different colors.

The flame will probably shorten a bit when I get some more lava rock over the ring.  The bowl also creates that siphon effect that increases the height.  It wouldn't be this tall without the bowl.  That was also turned all the way up.
 
We might do the glass at a later time, but I hear you can't really cook over the glass, and this is hot dog/smore central.

Blue flame is next to invisible in the day on the lower setting since I still have too much air/ not enough rock/logs.  I'll figure that out in time.
