Easter report:

Survived the family sans hEt, which is always dicey at best. 

Overall things have been fine when it's just my parents, or parents and younger brother.  Unfortunately this was everyone, and as always happens it became all about my older brother.  I don't even remember what the vituperator said but I didn't want that talk around my kids, and shut her up with a look.  I've always had rather legendary evil glares, but I must be in rare form these last few days with the dead zone at the Chinese function and now vituperator slaying. 

Anyhow, older brother woe is me act and my resisting the urge to point out if he ever actually WORKED it might not be a problem.  Unfortunately, I actually need something from him at work, for my sister in law.  So, played it nice and made a point of injecting what I need. 

Otherwise mostly just played with my niece and nephew, who find me hilarious.  "Uncle UNOOOOOOOO!" 

At home, playing the bunny was hard this year.   I really could have used that hour of sleep I got up early, and timing prevented recuperating it in nap form.

I wasn't much up to familytime yesterday - I chickened out saying to my cousin, "I have a complaint about your copy of Nemesis; it worked."

Had a great dinner with the in-laws. My brother in law got a transfer, a promotion of sorts that possibly put him in a better mood. He didn't bring up politics/his favorite talk radio wack-job at all.
Everybody laughed at each other's jokes, the teasing was good natured, too. Way better than the Christmas thing where 911 was pre-dialed and poised to send if the yelling turned physical.

Too bad there wasn't game playing afterwards, but grandma was getting sleepy/cranky, and we decided to return her to the nursing home.

I don't know. Maybe everybody was on their meds again.

The mothership sent auditors on a surprise visit this week as well.  Having just been drug into the audit last week, I'm more than ready, and the encounter is playing out much like this, but instead of me waiting excitedly, I jumped at the chance to be first:
