Random things huh? My step father had to change his newer generation light bulb.
His cat Sam was going insane. He could actually see the pulses of the light itself
from the thing while it was on.

An led or a fluorescent?

Fluorescents can drive me batty.  Migraine city.  That's why they moved me out of the hermit cave at work.  The new digs are more central and loud but away from the cursed lights.  (and the hermit cave was ugly apparently)

Looking at it from an initial cost perspective, LED lightbulbs are more expensive than Fluorescent light bulbs. However, LED lightbulbs tend to have a longer average life span than the equivalent Fluorescent lightbulb.

There were some very reasonably priced led shop lights at Costco last January, actually.  Like competetive with fluorescent priced.  One of the bigger regrets of no job at the time since my garage sits inadequately lit right now.

Probably the worlds ugliest seam on the back, and the sleeve/straps just pinned in place right now...

hEt's always reading, period.

Couple notes for the costume:  It's just a base for me to add leaves/flowers to.  Black shirt underneath.  All costumes in Utah need to be baggy because you're likely (50/50) to see 30s on halloween, thus need to layer underneath.  There are actually butterflies on it, but no one would ever see them unless they closely inspect it.  Talia and I like that little 'hidden' feature, though.

Black skirt of same patterned type material needs to be added.

LED I think.

Hm.  Unless it was on a dimmer, the flicker should have been well over 120 Hz.  Since these are the wave of the future, you might want to suggest he get an LED driver.  These are available off the shelf and allow LEDs to produce flicker free lighting.

There are those that believe the color of LED lighting (the "white" has a lot more blue than other lighting) can exaserbate symptoms of depression and disrupt circadium rythms, though.

The switched our street lights to LEDs a couple years ago...it's GREAT for Halloween as it eliminated all light pollution in my yard (other than our neighbor who lets me manage that).  For the intended purpose of lighting the street, though, they only make a cone of light under the pole, and that's it.

Also feel like pointing out, 2 years after a certain someone builds a barghest, with detailed plans how to incorporate a fog machine into a dog form, Spirit comes out with a (awful) cerberus incorporating a fog machine.

Already we have turned all of our critical industries, all of our material resources, over to these...things...these lumps of silver and paste we call nanorobots. And now we propose to teach them intelligence? What, pray tell, will we do when these little homunculi awaken one day announce that they have no further need for us?
