I haven't played it much but a subscriber donated the game to me. So I felt obliged to play it.

So far I tend to agree with you although from what I saw the game has incredible depth. At least five people I talked to said they weren't that much into it but once they got into it, they were sucked in like... something... that one can suck in.

Anyways for that reason only I would say raise your rating by at least 1 to 8/1 (easily could add statistics fun 10/10 and atmosphere 10/10) :)

Yeah.. after getting used to the system, it has really sucked me in. I still stand by my rating on the mere deal they could have put more depth into tactics battles.

But.... the world, the system is simply brilliant. A very forward thinking move by Stardock. I can not wait to see where they are going to take the series.

Remember, genes are NOT blueprints. This means you can't, for example, insert the genes for an elephant's trunk into a giraffe and get a giraffe with a trunk. There are no genes for trunks. What you CAN do with genes is chemistry, since DNA codes for chemicals. For instance, we can in theory splice the native plants' talent for nitrogen fixation into a terran plant.
