Silent Hill and Other Games in the Series
« on: August 03, 2025, 02:08:18 am »
I have not played the series of games in Silent Hill, but the scripts and cutscenes for the first three games in the series explore more mature themes on psychological horror and trauma. The early entries in the series released from the late 1990s through the mid 2000s. Explorations of potential effects on humans from religious trauma, guilt from the protagonists' actions, caretaking for other humans with disabilities, neglectful parents, abusive partners, manipulative partners, and abusive parents appeared across the first three games.

The sea is everything. It covers seven-tenths of the globe. Its breath is pure and healthy. It is an immense desert where a man is never alone, for he can feel life quivering all about him. The sea is only a receptacle for all the prodigious, supernatural things that exist inside it; it is only movement and love; it is the living infinite.
~Jules Verne ’20,000 Leagues Under The Sea’, Datalinks
