1.)  We don't know what the surface is like on a gas giant for sure, but there's good reason to think there isn't one, the same way you would consider being at the bottom of the Marianas Trench standing on the surface.

2.)  You almost certainly couldn't see anything, ever, through all that atmosphere.

3.)  Bonestell painted spacescapes for 40 years or so, and he's not the only one.  Google images is your friend, and someone may have done a view from a Saturn cloud city or something.

Nothing says only gas giants can have rings.

If the collision hypothesis of how the Moon was formed is correct, Earth also had one back then.
