Forum Downage

Earlier this week, the forum seemed down for me.
And since yesterday, there's some kind of Bot Verification page before being forwarded to the forum.
Is that something that's implemented on this end, BUncle?

It is.  There was something overwhelming the server intermittently -and getting worse- until we called in extra Cloudflare protection.

Nothing comes to mind, but brace for a little outage come Tuesday - we're changing domain registrars...

Personally, I think the .com address is much more natural. It's what I sometimes used to type in without thinking anyway when I was trying to reach this site without using my link.

I put the word out at Reddit, with some immediate good results. Looks like the comment generated reasonable attention compared to RtD updates.

What's your thinking on other locations? I cooled my jets since I didn't want to run afoul of administrators on the usual message boards.

I would think announcements at places you've left links in the past would be in order - as corrections as well as general interest info...

...Note, by the way, that we need the new URL out there as much as possible for the sake of the search engines, too.  Y'know, so we turn up on Google and so on.  -Major sites more-so.

I'm gonna have to do some Wikipedia edits soon...
