Loading a save game directly from desktop
« on: November 02, 2017, 10:01:27 pm »
Is there any way to do this? Not a big deal but loading up a PBEM save requires fiddling through some six or seven screens and a shortcut would lead to much rejoicing.

I remember once I tried to do it, but it was not possible to have like e.g. civ4 does that.

What comes to my mind now, is to make an executable, that would be associated with .sav and do the following:
- replace in alphacentauri.ini the last played save file path.
- fire up the game

... but then, how to get in the game to open the save.

Heaven lasts long, and Earth abides
What is the secret of their durability?
Is it because they do not live for themselves
That they endure so long?
