Water Factions

Here's a question. Is there some sort of bug with water faction growth?
Water bases seem to grow with insane speed. Even if I edit it to have
a -2 GROWTH in the faction.

Is it because of kelp farms & possibly no forests to work? Is there a difference in growth between a sea base and a land one that works all farms?

Well I'm usually picky about where I set up bases. Usually in shallow water and hopefully with a resource nearby.
I think there has to be a major difference in the food you get from a basic tile. Either that or its a bug.

Yeah every shallow water tile. Is 3 food 4 with an aquafarm and 3 energy 4 with a thermocline transducer.
Only +1 minerals though apparently thats supposed to be the weakness.
