Posting from my new Linux Cinnamon Mint laptop.  Provided you start with a brand new laptop, it isn't that bad changing OS's.  And now I never have to worry about "hey, we're ending support for the thing you know, achtung you vill try our new thing" again.  New laptop has slightly different kyeboard layout, which is annoying, and I'm sure I'll have fun migrating over all my files and passwords and getting things like my external DVD drive to cooperate.

I recently wiped my Win10 laptop and put MX Linux on it. Then I moved some papers off it (was using a mechanical keyboard I plugged in) and discovered the battery had expanded. Oops. So no longer using it.

I have a Kubuntu Focus laptop which became primary. Haven't gotten SMAX to work, but haven't spent that much time on it yet. MoO has a linux version though.
