Late Worms

When I'm playing the game for 400+ turns one of the things that troubles me is when there's a fungus appearing somewhere, there are gazillions of air+water+land worms. In ONE square. Can this number of worms appearing be modded and included as a changeable in the alphax.txt??
This question is mostly to Yitzi, I guess...

It definitely can be; feel free to nominate it in this thread.

(I'm pretty sure, though, that once you build the VoP worms completely stop appearing with pops.)
