What Would Jesus Do?
I will give you a hint.....
The lawyers? Who?
The AI of the Comrades in this play-through seems to be pretty elusive at times. I'm interested to see where this goes.
I'm just thinking on the quote I did for this faction... it's so fitting in this instance. It really is a struggle for survival xD
Your diplomacy rating currently is wicked... Our..."good" sister doesn't have much rest does she?
Our two play styles are nearly polar opposites: I manage to be noble throughout the entire course of my game. I just demand techs and such if I want to piss off a computer and start war.
As for the low populations of all the other human...er human aligned factions that is unsettling. Something has been chewing them all up, and I have a bad feeling the Anti-mind has been getting fat dining on the flesh of theinnocentEDIT That is a really poor choice of words thinking about it now... the Borg, Comrades, Jailbait, Lawyers and Oblivion? (I've read on the last a bit and watched Kilk's AAR) ;lol
Indeed... mind I understand your situation, and with Miriam I'd probably be pretty ruthless as well, but I don't play Miriam that often. I've played every single faction at least once or twice, but I play my preferred favorites over the others more so.
On that note, the difficulty of this, what was it again? If its on Thinker+ I am surprised to see the factions so weak right now. Then again we haven't seen the anti-mind yet.
..I am surprised to see the factions so weak right now..i think the combo small map & heavy fungus has crippled the expansion of the computer controlled factions. the AI just can't handle a poor landing spot.
I also need some chemical weapons. Nukes would be REALLY NICE!!!! :D

You've really immersed in the Christian mind-set. :)
What a beautiful, heartwarming rendition of "Amazing Grace" by the Men's Choir group from the Nerve Stapled choir from Red Revolution! Can we give another amen for these men!
When I was just an intern working on my second doctorate at Georgia State University for psychology, I had a short stint at a mental hospital outside of Atlanta. There was a patient I had who was deeply disturbed. She had a long history of drugs, prostitution, and general godless behavior. But, I began to think, what made her different than me? I could have been the same in different circumstances. Had I not studied and prayed to the Lord, I would have not gotten my Masters of Divinity from Oral Roberts in Texas from much earlier in life.
But, then I thought back to a sermon in Bible study all those years back in a little wee country time back on Earth called Huntsville, Alabama. there was not much there except for a few small churches and of course a space center that I think contributed to my future interest in space.
In this study group, we talked about the armor and weapons of God. Now, back in the 1980s, we did not know the secrets of the human mind the way we do today. We did not have neural imagers we have today to where we can actually SEE the electrical impulses light up and each thought turning from chemicals into electrical impulses to actions.
(turns to a group of white clad figures)
I envy you students at the Religious Truth and Love Corrective Institute. You are learning the art of Psychology and Biblical truth in truly prophetic times!
Anyways, the armor and weapons of God were more metaphysical. Of course, now we know these are actual scientific fact. The armor was "Faith". Faith allowed you to overcome hardships and demonic influences through life. Now, the atheists and other misguided individuals or perhaps those with ulterior motives to mislead you will claim the armor of god to be a "myth". However, as I studied at college and later as I pray and research with Christian scientists on this planet, the metaphysical IS real. As you build up habit, the mind God gave us builds more neurons out of chemicals to form stronger and stronger associations. Today we know can actually see all these associations and map them to language and action. This means, the armor of God, that is that we can become immune to demonic influences to live a wholesome and full life!
How I wished I could have helped that young lady in the hospital... but all my instructors knew about was drugs. I prayed, but the Lord had other plans for me. Like david, he wanted me to join the Unity project as your friend, confidant, and shepherd. But, he did not forget for God never forgets. Today, I could give the armor of God to you if you have a medical condition! For I now see the power of prayer. These lovely men from Red Revolution who just sang for you demonstrate this miracle from God!
The weapon of God was, in that small Bible study in Huntsville, also metaphorical. It was the words you use when confronted by evil. The protaganist in the classic book Pilgrim's Progress invoked the name of the Lord to foil the Prince of darkness, Satan. While on Earth, we were beginning to realize that words could cause chemical changes in the brain, we could not actually determine what changes were occurring in detail. We also did not know why the name of Jesus did silence some mentally unhealthy behavior but not others. But now we know that it is the associations and the neural encoding! Yes, the armor is also the weapon! And, like a good mood or the dandelions in the fields I played in as a little girl spread!
But, not all weapons are words. There are times for the ancient sword as well as impact weapons.
So, it is not without further ado I reveal my reason for appearance and a powerful gift from the Lord: The Command Nexus!
You will have the moral fibre form the Lord, and be armed with the weapons that has been given to you as a blessing. You will go forth against those who oppose truth.
But remember, evil is a spiritual chemical construct in the minds of our enemies. It is not the body of the enemy that is evil. But, with some, unfortunately like in the Old testament, the only wage of sin is Death. For our salvation, and that of your children, we must give death to them so that the poison does not spread and rust the Armor and Weapons of God. For, just like the dandelion in the field of my youth, briars and poison ivy spread, too.
That lady in the ward I heard died. She ended up rocking back and forth uncontrollably covered in her own feces and urine. More an animal than human. It is inhumane to keep these wrenched creatures alive, particularly if they are not isolated infect our mental health by giving us bad brain chemistry.
Eternal Life, like Jesus promised is here. But, salvation is up to us. We should save who we can. Those who would stop us we shall destroy with the armor and weapons of the Lord.
God Bless you and go with the Lord. You are in my prayers
Good sermon, Green. ;b;
Sounds like a real sermon and something Miriam might really say at the same time.
Yeah, a lot of folks do not realize that Miriam is actually a very intelligent and likable person if you are a Believer. She was a bad ass. I read somewhere she had two doctorates, one in Psychology the other in Divinity. Of course, you can still be highly intelligent and charismatic and still be insane. I think all the factions have varying degrees of insanity but with very intelligent underpinnings.
Yeah, I've always liked that people like Morgan, Santiago, Deirdre, Zakharov, Lal and Miriam can be imagined as either quite benevolent characters or like fanatic tyrants. It's a bit more difficult with Yang, though.
Anti-mind is looking pretty fearsome.
Antimind captures Stephanie for tentacle rape.
We confirm, yes indeed, they are going to try to get Court Records and War of the Working Man!
The decision is decimation of the environment or death. And if some hippies complain just do what you did to the Comrades, you're playing Sister Miriam and the Believers, not some pacifistic Gaians.
Mhm. AAR's are reports, stories that can go any way. And that's what is so tantalizingly interesting about them:
Whatever happens, the journey is has been interesting and that is what matters.

You'll probably have to put up an elastic defence, the Overmind currently outnumbers you and has air power, so you'll have to do hit and run and lure him into defencive ambushes.
Those damn Comrades! They hit one of my Impact Foil boats off that island. they now have Merchant exchange and are working on another project.
Yeah I've been keeping my eye on Oblivion, watching him slowly expand. It'd be hard for him to get out any further without taking to the waves though, unless he can somehow get past that Fungal Tower.
Looking grim. :|
:O I've never seen the artefact popup look like that before!
Good job on pushing back the offensive :D
I am amazed at how many Crimson bases there are still...
Have AAR's on AAR's, the Paradox is mind boggling.
Maybe have a roleplay AAR here the human players roleplay or cooperate. They aren't just out to kill each other and what not.
Yeah. :( I know I want to get my channel doing well one day. Another one of those three years of life but not a lot of result things. XD
Still, enjoying the AAR mate. It is curious to consider What Would Oblivion Do or What Would Comrade Do though haha~
You have a relaxing voice, not too loud or annoying.
My voice, if you may have heard it in the Comrade's blurb is wheezy and gruff. When I get loud I just sound like I am taking a dump while trying to kill someone.
Thanks for the advice, Green. :) I'll have to think about ways I can practically promote myself without being spammy. I think I did so well with Ultima 2 because I'm like 1 of the 2 ones available on YT and have corned the top results in search there.
We took out our first needlejet! Unfortunately, I misjudged and the Unity Chopper ran out of fuel after taking out the jet.I want to hear that Chopper crew's story. They're the lowly heroes of this war, armed only with a peashooter and a teaspoon of gasoline.

I know that times have been trying for the people at Court Records. But, your sacrifices have not been in vain as this is part of God's Plan. the power and truth of prayer is truly at work here, and we will be victorious in the end as we are righteous and God's chosen.
But, before we continue, I must say I was both touched and moved by the sacrifice and heroic act by Lt. Brevnorov from the City of War of the Working Man. Yes, Brevnorov was a former Comrade. But, God is forgiving and loves us all... even the godless. For, if you accept Jesus into your heart, even a Communist can come to the side of truth and love and become an instrument of God.
Now, I realize there has been in the past bad blood between we Believers, Lawyers, and Comrades. Even though many Comrades have been baptized in the Blood of Christ and now worship along side us, many are viewed still with suspicions. While God does ask us to judge, as being too accepting can lead to tragedy, I am reminded of a story from the New Testament.
In Biblical times, there was a group of people called Samaritans. They were considered untrustworthy, unclean, and just plain bad people.
Turn on your holopads to the book of Luke. Read after me.
25 On one occasion an expert in the law stood up to test Jesus. “Teacher,” he asked, “what must I do to inherit eternal life?”
26 “What is written in the Law?” he replied. “How do you read it?”
27 He answered, “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind’[a]; and, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’”
28 “You have answered correctly,” Jesus replied. “Do this and you will live.”
29 But he wanted to justify himself, so he asked Jesus, “And who is my neighbor?”
30 In reply Jesus said: “A man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho, when he was attacked by robbers. They stripped him of his clothes, beat him and went away, leaving him half dead.
31 A priest happened to be going down the same road, and when he saw the man, he passed by on the other side.
32 So too, a Levite, when he came to the place and saw him, passed by on the other side.
33 But a Samaritan, as he traveled, came where the man was; and when he saw him, he took pity on him.
34 He went to him and bandaged his wounds, pouring on oil and wine. Then he put the man on his own donkey, brought him to an inn and took care of him.
35 The next day he took out two denarii[c] and gave them to the innkeeper. ‘Look after him,’ he said, ‘and when I return, I will reimburse you for any extra expense you may have.’
36 “Which of these three do you think was a neighbor to the man who fell into the hands of robbers?”
37 The expert in the law replied, “The one who had mercy on him.”
Jesus told him, “Go and do likewise.”
The Lt. was the Samaritan and a good neighbor. the Antimind was the robber who stripped the Lawyer's clothes. Should I have an empire of Samaritans, the Antimind would be doomed within a short time.
I ask of you... let us all BE Lt. Brevnorov!
In his honor, I give unto you... The LORD gives unto you a recreation commons! Even in this time of trials, we must keep fellowship. It will be named Brevnorov Good Samaritan Fellowship Hall.
Who knew Miriam had a sense of humor?
I assume the Xenoempathy Dome is nowhere in your immediate future?
How's your industrial output at this point? Can you afford to go Power or will it cripple your ability to actually build units?
Speaking of which, there is a bunch of Antimind artillery up on that hill out of view covered by needlejets. I made the mistake of getting in artillery range and they pounded a stack of 3 rovers then a mind worm took out all three.
I can not afford to be making tactical blunders like that in stalemate attrition games like this.
Surprised that Brevnorov wasn't made a saint ;lol
Saint of Choppers, may he watch over your rotor blades.
And it's a 3 res cutter: Its an aircraft I am not mistaken. A 3 res Butler would be something the Imperium or Lawyers would make.
Your troops are looking awwwwfully thin around the Field of Blood.
I 'spose formers can't last long enough north of Court Record to make it worthwhile to build a lot of bunkers?
Well the Antimind is certainly living up to its reputation. How the heck can they pump out that many units -3 Industry?!
...So, if you were close at all to getting it, you need to build a different SP to avoid wasting a lot of production - what's available?
I would guess that you're finally over the hump in this war.
I notice that you've done a fair bit of colonizing you haven't talked about. Surely all those bases in the south give you a powerful production capacity, especially with air power making for swift reinforcments?
You know, I am thinking about Sigma's idea... I think I can protect a Colony Pod and some formers to stick a strategic base right there.Much like the Three Hebrews thrown into the Babylonian furnace, their faith shall shield them from the withering heat of war!
Risky move... but may just end this endless deadlock!
Look at ALL that AIR!!!Good Lord! -choke-
These trance formers with armor are tough!.;notes; Trance formers! More than meets the eye! ;notes;

There's an ironic beauty to Miriam winning this war in part by out-teching her enemy.
I will take Miriam over anyone. Even Yang and Sparta are weaklings compared to the Sister....I will say that when I was starting out with the SMAC demo, I definitely noticed Miriam was the most frustrating opponent in the first 100 years.
Yeah, the logic I always heard and followed as don't mess with Miriam too early unless you know you can take her out quickly, and don't wait too long on Yang because he'll become so deeply entrenched that you will never harrow him out.I will take Miriam over anyone. Even Yang and Sparta are weaklings compared to the Sister....I will say that when I was starting out with the SMAC demo, I definitely noticed Miriam was the most frustrating opponent in the first 100 years.
AI Morgan is a little like Yang that way, too - take him out early, or take him out late. Not so doable at MY 50-100.The last game I played was a Librarian late game conquest victory in vanilla SMAC and my god digging Morgan out of the tiny continent that he had built for himself was nearly impossible. Once I beat him the rest of the game fell fairly smoothly, but that was unreeeeal.
Make some AA copters if you've not already, those things are amazing at killing huge numbers of bomber aircraft, and where they are now they're out of range of interceptor defense.
Also, reading and enjoying.
The Reds Will Rise Again.Indeed, Comrade...
...I imagine you'll be going after Joining Complex soon?
I wonder if it would be worth it to position an outpost up on Pholus Ridge to attack Antimind's flank, since it seems to be sending most of its forces towards Court Records. Maybe that side is relatively unprotected?
Edit: Watching your terror from the deep playlist... and this is just silly, its damned hilarious! ;lolThanks so much Jarl :D
Whoa that's intense!
Also note the peotic irony of the name generator getting "Joining: Complete" for the airbase connecting your empires. :|Edit: Watching your terror from the deep playlist... and this is just silly, its damned hilarious! ;lolThanks so much Jarl :D
I never understood how chemical warfare works when your forces have to wear respirators anyways: Or is it a corrosive gas that eats away at them and not just suffocates? Or does it overwhelm the respirators?

I am thinking it is some kind of highly reactive chemical that is more horrible than anything on Earth. After all, High Energy Chemistry unlocks it.
Mhm, been a large amount of fighting. And on a side note, my AAR is heating up.
Some people have weird fetishes and might perceive that as beauty. I'm not one of them.
Mind Vazheli is not a traitorous man and he isn't a monster, but he's a very passionate man and that passion can also translate into bloodthirsty, vengeful reckoning. He's a man with a very strong temper and dedication to his cause. Which can make him terrifying. As I stated he's based off me quite a bit and once upon a time I was a very ruthless man. And while I lost that invigorated sense of violence the mentality has left its scars, so while the intention of this faction certainly wasn't first intended to be a way to release some of my demons, it partially became that and its a way to let my mind speak without saying much of a word on myself at all.
Which is a nice benefit I suppose, it lets some harboured pain out.
Edit: That and its damned fun to make the storyline.
Meora is the big bad guy in Lost Eden. That must be a captured Oblivion base.
Are the shysters up to anything besides sitting there, glad to be alive?
I noticed yesterday Oblivion had a cruiser transport full of units trying to take out Lawyers, from the looks of things. :O Shame he didn't try re-expanding into the waves, although airpower makes that kinda moot anyway haha~
Yeah I really think airpower makes the game pretty broken~
And yes Buster's Uncle is right: Meora is the big bad of Lost Eden, and actually wins in the canon.
I hate that this is winding up; it's been a heckuva ride. ;jesus ;b;
Miriam conquers the world. Then discovers what integrity means!
Good read, good game. Looking forward to the next game (and I encourage you to give them all a techshare 4, otherwise you may leave them in the dust in tech since they are all always at war with each other so no tech trading).
heckplease. Been a teeny bit too much language on these boards lately, and I hate editing people. ;)
