Title: New forum banner at the top of the forum - feedback needed!

Maybe it's time to change the banner at the top of the forum (maybe also the frontpage) with a new one containing the text: "alphacentauri2.info made by SMACers, for SMACers"?

This is 1024 wide, and the forum has resized the display for the attachment, but you get the idea...

I believe I finally matched the font.

Folks, stuff like this matters - people are simply more likely to register and participate at an attractive, well-done website, so it's in your own best interest to see that AC2 is that.

Some niggling little adjustments/corrections.  The one you used was unfinished, unless you don't like the italics.

Yep.  I noticed what you'd done on the homepage with two pictures, and thought I could improve on it. 

I believe this will probably cause the page to run more smoothly than reloading between two pics eternally, too.
