Forum does not accept .PNG files. Must be .JPG

When you try to upload a PNG, it dumps out an error.

I get why they would not want PNGs. More bandwidth. But it should tell you that at least. Also there are some modeling and graphics deals that need .PNGs because of layers.

Dude, I am a bonafide draftsman now. Degree and all. LOL! Taking a break because fixing to do some nasty Chemo. Had a sweet job even before graduating but taking a hiatus modeling cabinets and desks along with bulkhead maps to put in ships. But that contract ended and I got sick along with deaths in the family.

GIMP  can still die in a fire. Friggin AutoCAD is less obtuse. Hell, even friggin Blender is less obtuse. But GIMP is one of the few tools out there for free that does what it does. And does it well if you can figure out where stuff is buried. But I did do some stuff using GIMP/AutoCAD for 2D stuff. My textures STILL suck. But they passed for the job they have to do. And you have to do it that way. Because hatching is NOT the answer.

Yeah, I saw thew diploma yesterday, and I'm proud of you.

I'm sure I've attached large .pngs before, but we're currently having trouble with large attachments in general, discovered Friday.  Tech's on the job...

I was promoted to Admin the day I first signed up here. lo, 13+ years ago, so I wouldn't know w/o some tedious checking -  can you delete your own thread?

I'd rather you didn't; things like this serve as a sort of record, and the problem hasn't been solved yet, anyway...
