Title: terranx crashes every time on AI turn

Hi, I played the GOG Version of SMAC and SMAX and on basically the first game I get a crash every time at the same point in the AI turn. I had a lot of crashes prior to this but would always load the autosave. Now it crashes every time.

I then installed the Yitzi Patch 3.5 and 3.5d, but it still crashes..

Any ideas? I attached the save. When the round ends and AI moves a bit it crashes for me.

Well, I can confirm you're not the only one. It happens during what appears to be Deedee's turn in the Freshwater Lake.
I opened the save in GOG SMACX version.

Is it too late to find an autosave of the turn before this?  That's probably the best way to avoid the crash..

Yeah, there is one a couple of turns back.
But the game crashes regularily like this and it would have been good to know why.

EDIT: Turns out it crashes in the same situation from the older save. Looks like the game is broken.

I hope you haven't given up on SMACX!

If you're that far into the game and it crashes, there's something odd going on right there at that point. It looks like a question for Yitzi to debug. I will try to get a screen grab of it for him or another techie to look at.

Have you played a new game since then with or without any problems?

Naw, I was a bit distracted by other stuff, so I haven't started a new game. Also a bit dispirited because of the persistent crashing in that game. I did play some Scenarios though, which worked fine. But they weren't very long.
