Since there is not much discussion about it, here is a poll, so with just few clicks I can get some feedback.

A continent is understood as being able to walk on the whole land mass with scout or any other land unit without foils or other any flying/"dimention gate event" way.

Pangaea, I included this option, though I believe this will take away the sea element meaning from the game. At least in some way, you really would not need to research Sea exploration techs early. This is what I think. But eventually, we may have a special version of Chiron with this feature if not chosen. We can branch our map.

I'd say Pangaea with some large lakes.  The AI doesn't really play that well on island maps.

What also could be made is all landmass connected with land-bridges, what effectively is pangaea.
Oceans would be connected too, so sea element would not suffer. Factions like Pirates would not be forced to expand by land only.
