Title: Yang SE: Green and Police State?

Hello everyone,

I'm not sure if this is a bug, but recently playing as Yang I noticed that, while in Police State, choosing Green did not increase my efficiency rating--i.e. the switch resulted in efficiency remaining at 0. I had been playing on whatever patch GOG sells; after encountering this I googled around to find a solution (to no avail) but I did find this forum. I tried in Yitzi's patch v3.4 and it seems to be there as well. Is this a bug? Am I misunderstanding how immunity to SE penalties works (definitely possible since I'm really only a casual user)? Also, my apologies if there's some obvious solution I missed already posted or if this is in the wrong place; this seems to be the only site with any useful Alpha Centauri related support left and this has been bugging me for days.

Hi VanV,
It is how it is calculated.
Police state: -2
Green: +2
So total is: 0

Now if you switch to (just set it without actually making the change):
Frontier: 0
Green: +2
Total should be +2.

Is it like this in your game?

So immunity is applied after total, not that you get bonus after taking only negative effects only.

Yes. It seems I misunderstood the nature of how immunity was calculated; thanks, Mart! That was driving me crazy.

I do intend, in my next patch, to allow Impunity to apply to a social engineering effect category instead of model, in which case it would work much as you thought Immunity worked.
