The astronauts aboard the International Space Station are privy to some pretty spectacular views of Earth, which we're lucky enough to share in the form of pictures and videos sent back via social media.

The last is from Expedition 38 members Mike Hopkins and Rick Mastracchio, who have taken to the ISS's Cupola -- a special observation module attached to the space station -- for a flyover tour of parts of the northern hemisphere.

Shot in February and only just sent back to YouTube, the two astronauts start in southern Italy before making their way across to Greece, then around to North America to show where cities are on the map -- although they're pretty much invisible from the Cupola vantage point.

We're not sure if the team plans on expanding this single video into a more extensive series, but there are certainly many around the world who would love to see a space flyover of their own home towns.
